I recently read something very interesting by a film maker “Jim Jarmusch” and find it worth sharing, and I think this is true, an idea has to be born from somewhere.

“Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery – celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from – it’s where you take them to.” – Jim Jarmusch

Asalamulakium and hello everyone, today i thought to take some time out and shed some light on my 365 photography project and just a little something about 2012.

okay, the above picture was captured on 1/1/2012 and is part of my 365 series, i have almost stopped uploading and updating it on my blog mainly cuz i am not really able and not really sure to do it on dialy basis on my bog, beside that the project is all set and fired everyday on my facebook may be someday i will do a BEST OF 365 on my blog

now something for 2012, so i am pretty much clear and focused and here is how.

I am focused on keeping a very balanced perspective in my life. Want to be intellectually growing, socially interactive, economically independent and progressive. Spiritually growing, physically fit. We just cant focus on work alone, although work is very important. We need to focus on all the things that in unison can lead to good things.”

Happy new year

just watched the movie “Dhobi Ghat” really nice movie and a very different story, i liked everything about it technically. from sound to camera work and acting as well. the best thing about the movie is that it inspires you creatively so much. For every serious movie lover its a must watch.
After watching this movie i am just thinking and wondering, what if this same exact movie is made in Pakistan, with same exact story line. and choosing Karachi instead of Mumbai ? just a random thought. how would people react to this.

With a heavy heart, I condole the death of Mr. Rauf Khalid in a car accident yesterday. He’s from Peshawar, was residing in Islamabad and died en route to Lahore on the motorway yesterday that is Thursday 24th of November 2011. Apparently his car tire burst and he smashed into the dividing fence.

i have nothing here to share, not even a single photograph. During my one year academic year at NICS where he taught us “script writing”, i never got the chance to capture him in my camera, i asked him once, he said “naved, when i am free we shall do it in the woods”..

Dear sir !

“I am very sad, but i am lucky to be one of your student. what a loss. May you be blessed sir. May Allah be pleased with you, as we were whenever we had a chance to see you and talk to you. you were charming, handsome and inspirational. may you inspire God as well, amen.”

things changes, times changes but i believe we dont. we are just enhanced. if we are good we will be more better with time and will find new ways to be happy and good, and the opposite will go the other way around. but yet some saints also move the other way around, not because they changed but they revert back to their real nature.

so this means human nature never ever changes !! yes true that !! so i would belive you are still the same not changed..
