9:00 AM

i woke up late, rushed towards the car to drive uni. got a bit more late cuz of rain while on my way i saw a plane heading towards Islamabad’s residential area.

9:35 AM

enter the uni campus and was running towards the lecture room, just before entering i saw the same plane in landing gear heading towards margallah hills, for a moment i thought hey is he mad or what..

9:50 AM

got an sms from a friend saying plane crash in Islamabad please pray i fear my cousin was on this flight !!!, but later she was confirmed of her cousin not on board !!

later the day..no one survives, the next day it rained as if its the last day on earth to rain in Islamabad

then on Friday 30th July 2010 i went to see the crash area along with my friends Basit and Atif

from the roads which goes up to Daman-e-Koh

after a long 1 hour hike you reach to this place and from there you had to climb up the hill without any track or trail

a closer view of the crash site

another view of the crash site

got no words to describe this…

a view from the crash site

there are many other photographs that i cant share with you all :( the thing which really broke my heart was the smell of burnt flesh, blood spatters over the stones and heavy aircraft fuel spread all over..

May Allah save the whole Muslim Ummah From such disaster in future Amen

  1. OMG :( I have no words. This is so sad. This feels like when the world trade center happened. everyone knew what they were doing when that happened. and it left a scar on everyone’s hearts and minds.

it has done the same to us too specially those living in Islamabad, whenever i look at the hills i feel really sad.. and it reminds me the crash incident.

i live in uk and finally came to islamabad to find closure by visiting the crash site. my best friend from school.. naveed ilyas was on that doomed flight. it is hard to find the place. not much help from google map either. i found a 5 minute trek to the bottom of the mountain just on the side off a bench at a very sharp bend just before daman e koh. was that the correct place?

  5. Naveed says:

yes kashan !!! u were pretty close to it !!
