With a heavy heart, I condole the death of Mr. Rauf Khalid in a car accident yesterday. He’s from Peshawar, was residing in Islamabad and died en route to Lahore on the motorway yesterday that is Thursday 24th of November 2011. Apparently his car tire burst and he smashed into the dividing fence.
i have nothing here to share, not even a single photograph. During my one year academic year at NICS where he taught us “script writing”, i never got the chance to capture him in my camera, i asked him once, he said “naved, when i am free we shall do it in the woods”..
Dear sir !
“I am very sad, but i am lucky to be one of your student. what a loss. May you be blessed sir. May Allah be pleased with you, as we were whenever we had a chance to see you and talk to you. you were charming, handsome and inspirational. may you inspire God as well, amen.”
i will share some of his words that truly inspire everyone of us in our batch.
“We are not responsible fro why people don’t understand whats in our heart- that is their limitation not ours. We understand ourselves and know the intensity of our own emotions- why people cant be true in love is because we don’t want them to be so, the reason is simple, we are the people. – Rauf Khalid”
“You are the master of your life. It does not belong to someone else and ideally it should not be in someone else’s hands. Ironically this world and especially our part is not very ideal but at the same time all is not evil. So hope should be the word that needs to guide us. Many gates of life always remain open and the wrong ones keep closing down automatically -Rauf Khalid”
“One should ‘never take life for granted’. The Universe cannot offer a bigger gift than life. Every micro second is precious and will never come again.”
“Love is the soul of the Universe and we are all parts of the Universe no matter how tiny or negligible we may be – we are the Universe- the drivers of love and love has no boundaries. – Rauf Khalid”
“ I don’t believe in the phrase, ‘everything is fair in love & war.’ I think one should be extremely truthful, exceedingly forgiving and exceptionally caring in love and war. – Rauf Khalid ”
and then one of my favorite
“I will always be in love- for love is the soul of the Universe; it will still be there after the Universe has died. For the reason, that the spirit lives on even after the body has died. By: Sir Rauf Khalid.”
may you be in great peace. amen
When tomorrow starts without me
Don’t think we are far apart
For everytime you think of me
I am right in your heart
